OffGap collects an extremely limited set of information, and only when it's critical for delivering our service:

1. Email Address / Social Account Authorization:

   • Purpose: We collect your email address (or authorization details if you use social accounts like Google, Facebook, or Twitter) solely for authentication purposes. This allows us to verify your identity and securely link your created website content to your account, ensuring only you can access and manage it.
   • Storage & Security: These details are securely stored within Google Firebase Auth and remain exclusively within that system. They are never replicated, moved elsewhere, or shared with any third parties.
   • Usage: We do not use your email for any communication beyond essential authentication or critical service updates. We do not send newsletters, promotional emails, or share your email with any other company or system. We employ robust measures to protect your authentication details from external exposure, adhering strictly to GDPR regulations for the duration of your registration.

2. Website Name (Custom Domain or OffGap.com Subdomain):

   • Purpose: This information is fundamental for your website to be visible on the internet. Without knowing your chosen custom domain (e.g., yourdomain.com) or your .offgap.com subdomain, we simply cannot publish your content to the world.
   • Usage: This data is used exclusively to facilitate the public accessibility of your website.

3. Website Content (Publicly Intended):

   • Purpose: The text, images, and other media you create and publish on your OffGap website are collected and stored so they can be presented to your visitors. This content reflects your personality, interests, or business, and our role is to make it publicly available as you intend.
   • Usage: This content is processed and stored only for the purpose of serving your website to the public. You retain full ownership and control over your content.

4. Payment Details (for Paid Plans Only):

   • Purpose: If you opt for a paid OffGap plan, payment details are collected exclusively to facilitate billing.
   • Handling: OffGap does not handle or store any of your sensitive payment information. All payment processing is managed entirely by our trusted third-party payment provider, Stripe.
   • Information Shared with OffGap: Stripe only provides us with the payment status and a non-personal user reference that does not contain any sensitive information, including your email. Stripe is solely responsible for the security and processing of your payment data.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

OffGap does not share any of the limited personal data we collect with third parties, except as explicitly stated above (e.g., Firebase for authentication, Stripe for payments). We are not in the business of selling your data.

Anonymous Performance Data

We may collect anonymized service performance data to understand and improve how OffGap operates. This data is never linked to individual users and contains no identifiable information. It helps us ensure the stability, speed, and efficiency of our platform for everyone.
